November 23 - Nazar Kulchytskyy Clinic in Portage
Nazar is coming back in 2019!!!

Nazar Kulchytskyy, came to the United States when he was 16 years old. He was looking for a place to land in the U.S. and found a home in Prairie du Chien.  After 1 year in high school he enrolled in classes at the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh.  Nazar was unbeaten as a freshman before suffering a broken foot, only to come back to win three straight NCAA Division III titles for Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Kulchytskyy has been a model representative of the Titan Mercury Wrestling Club and trains with the Minnesota Storm. 

This event will be open to all 2019-2020 Portage Wrestling Members: Portage Youth, Middle School and High School Wrestlers, pre registration is required.

Coming off a Gold Medal performance at the 2017 Dave Schultz Memorial International, a silver at the 43rd Henri Deglane Challenge and a 4-0  Silver medal  finish with Titan Mercury at the World Wrestling Club Championships in Tehran, Iran; Nazar will be bringing his style and expertice to the Portage Wrestling Room.

October 22 -  Ben Askren Clinic in Portage

​Ben Askren, from Hartland, Wisconsin, is a 4-time, NCAA Division 1, 174 lb. finalist with University of Missouri, 2-time NCAA 174 lb. champion, and 2008 Olympian.  As an MMA competitor, Ben is 15-0, as well as the former Bellator Welterweight and current One Welterweight Champion.

Ben will be bringing his funky style to Portage to hold a FOLKSTYLE CAMP on October 22, at Bartels Middle School.  This event will be open to all 2016-2017 Portage Wrestling Members: Portage Youth, Middle School and High School Wrestlers.

9 am - 12:00 pm                    6th Grade - 12th Grade
1 pm - 2:30 pm                      K-5

Spots are open on a first come, first serve basis.  The clinic will cost $10.00 for the 1st child and $5.00 for each additional child, for active Portage Youth Wrestling Club Members. If the clinic is not at the 35 wrestler capacity at the conclusion of the October 12 registration, it will be opened up to wrestlers from surrounding clubs for $25.00 per wrestler.

July 26 -  Connor Medberry Clinic in Portage

​Medbery was a three time Colorado State Champion from Loveland High School. Connor is currently the Wisconsin Badgers All American Heavyweight coming off an Olympic Exemption as he enters his senior year. In the 2014-2015 season he finished 4th with a 4-2 record at the NCAA Championships.

Spots are open on a first come, first serve basis.  The clinic will be free of charge to all Portage Wrestlers.
June 16-19 -  Iron Sharpens Iron Team Camp

Portage Wrestling  was represented by 20 + wrestlers on 3 teams in 2016: elementary, middle and high school.

​Iron Sharpens Iron is unlike any camp you have ever experienced before. Bringing in the best technicians in the world, wrestlers will stretch themselves from tough to tougher while still having a blast.
